Mrs. Christian Fenger and her daughter Christine have joined the travelers speeding towards California. Mr. and Mrs. Hermon B. Butler will not open their house in Hubbard Woods until the second week in April. Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Kahler of Evanston and New Trier are being congratulated on the birth of a son last Friday. Dr. and Mrs. G. Thomson von Colditz of Chicago have purchased a lot in the Indian Hill section and will build there this summer. The advanced fancy cookery class of New Trier gave a tea to the faculty Tuesday afternoon under the direction of Miss Bedker. Mrs. Ayres Boal left Friday evening to join her mother, Mrs. Lorenzo M. Johnson, at the latter's winter home in Santa Barbara. The William W. Case residence on Rosewood avenue in Hubbard Woods has been leased to Mrs. Charles F. Spaulding for the summer. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Weinstock Monday. Mother and baby, who are at the Evanston Hos- pital, are receiving congratulations. Mrs. George Gordon and Mrs. Clark C. Wortley were the representatives sent by the Woman's Club on "Reci- procity Day," Tuesday, to the Evans- ton Woman's Club. The Marquise San Germano of Ar- tino and Rome, Italy, who has enjoyed Winnetka enough to return for a sec- ond stay with Mrs. Harry H. Barnum, left for the east Saturday. The family of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Hoyt is heading north for the sum- mer from Green Cove Springs, Fla., where guests have been entertained through the winter months. Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Ferry, with their daughter, Mrs. Walter Dean Peck, and her children are spending a month in California. Mrs. Ferry is secretary and treasurer of the Parents and Teachers' Association. Miss Josephine Landon of Winnetka and Mrs. Lucius B. Sherman of Hub- bard Woods act as chairmen of their respective towns on the governing board of the Ravinia Club. The an- nual spring musicale was given yester- day afternoon in the crystal ballroom of the Blackstone Hotel. The Infant Welfare committee of Winnetka, consisting of Mrs. W. J. Cook, Mrs. J. R. Quinby and Mrs. N. L. Hoyt, will take no active part in the "Baby Week" being planned to be held in Chicago April 5. The entire time of the committee is given to the station at Chicago Commons. Mrs. Schoénthaler is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Kerfoot of Chi- cago. The assembly room at New Trier, in which was given the three plays of the Lake Forest players last Friday evening, has been thoroughly fumi- gated as a protection against the pos- sibility of infection from scarlet fever which has developed in a member of the cast. The prominent pianist, Mischa Kottler of Kenilworth, will give a re- cital, assisted by Ruby Davis, violin- ist, in the Kenilworth Assembly Hall, the evening of Tuesday, April 6th. A most interesting program has been arranged that promises an evening of rare enjoyment. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Fellows, who re- cently moved into the house at 809 Lincoln avenue, entertained twenty- five teachers Thursday evening of last week. Mr. Fellows as the only man was allowed to invite an assistant and selected Mr. Fred Swanson, teacher of manual training. All sorts of talent cropped out during the evening. There was an "Umbrella Dance," and a "Kitchen Quartette." Some striking 1915 "fashion models" made the affair extremely up-to-date.
