F. Millet, two of the boys in the unit which sailed from New York on the steamer Espagne last February, to aid in the ambulance work in France, has been contributed by Mrs. George Landis Wilson of Oak Park, who is stopping at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur W. Duncan, of Hubbard Woods. A copy of this song was sent to Mrs. Wilson by her son, G. L. Wilson, Jr, who was one of the boys in this unit, with a letter telling of their safe arrival at Bordeaux, after successfully dodging the dreaded "Subs." American Ambulance Marching Song. Everyone admits the con- ons are disgraceful and that they justly bring down upon Win- 'tka the opprobrium of its being a typical mid-western town. But eryone also admits that it means hard work and personal sacrifice \carry out the plan of cleaning up, and that especially it means co- eration on the part of every citizen. 'Quite aside from the fact that the esthetic senses would be more tisfied with a clean village, it is absolutely necessary in the inter- Ns of the general health. With the dread infantile paralysis prom- ng to break out anew and the mosquitoes coming back ere long - their summer feast, something should be done and done quickly. "The Village Improvement association and the council have both omised the Woman's club all aid and cooperation within their 777724 2 7 light of efficiency should be obtained." & [Under the auspices of the Woman's guild of Christ church, three Ne-act plays will be given at the Winnetka Woman's club on Wed- sday evening, April 11.
