NORTH SHORE JUVENILE ASSOCIATION STOP WORK War Conditions Cause Temporary Suspension of Active Labors-- Will Likely Funds. Invest The fifth annual meeting of the Juvenile Protective Association of the North Shore was held Tuesday evening, April 3, at Community house, Winnetka. The treasurer re- ported a balance on hand of $230.40. It was resolved that in view of the exceptional demands to be anticipat- ed upon both time and purses of the members of the organization, con- sequent upon the war, the work of the organization be temporarily sus- pended until otherwise directed by special meeting of member to be cal- led by the officers whenever, in their judgment, public conditions warrant resumption of work; that in the meantime no funds should be solicit- ed, but that the funds on hand ($230.40) be held intact pending ac- tion looking to resumption of work, or the actual dissolution of the or- ganization, as may hereinafter be determined upon at a special meet- ing of the members. Under the circumstances it was thought desirable not to attempt to elect new officers, but to allow the old officers to hold over for want of successors. The executive officers were authorized to place the present funds of the organization at interest, or to loan them without interest to RING YOUR WORK IN BEFORE SHOP=- | 'or Exchange =] ead 'em.
