A 4 Miss Polly Chase, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel T. Chase of Lake Forest and Chicago, became the bride | of Lieutenant Preston Boyden, son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Boyden last Saturday afternoon in St. Chrysostom's church. In her mother's wedding gown of ivory sa- tin and rare old rose point lace, and with her dark hair partly concealed by her®tulle veil fastened by a lace coronet, Mrs. Boyden made avery lovely picture. The shower bouquet was of lilies of the valley. Her. bridesmaids, who. were her| classmates at Bryn Mawr college, carried old fashioned bouquets of pink sweet peas with paper frills. They were her sisters, Miss Eliza- beth Chase, Lieutenant Boyden's sis- ter, Miss Margaret Boyden, Miss Margaret Littell and Miss Mabel Churchill of Cornish, N. H., Miss Margaret Bent of Chestnut Hill, Pa. Miss Elizabeth Fenner of New Or- leans, and Miss Edith Cummings, Miss Ginevra King, Miss Marriett McLaughlin and Miss Emily Bissell. Two of them wore pink organdie, with hats to match. Two others wore pale green, two others lavender, two blue and two yellow. Little Janet Chase, sister of the bride, and Elizabeth Bolden, sister of the groom, were flower girls. They wore white organdie frocks with pink sashes and hats carried baskets of pink sweet peas. Collette, Lieutenant Richard Bentley, Lieutenant Henry Kenney, Lieutenant Sidney Greeley, Lieutenant Frederick force Taylor. These ten young men, in their khaki colored uniforms, made an impressive picture as they stood with their sabers crossed, making an archway under which Lieutenant Boyden and his bride passed as they left the alter. The Reverend Dr. Norman Hutton read the service. The church was decorated with white peonies and lighted tapers. The bride was given away by her father. Mrs. Chase, mother of the brie, wore a gown of light tan satin and Mrs. Boyden, the bridegroom's mother, wore pearl gray satin. A reception for members of the two families and intimate 'friends was held after the ceremony at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Chase, 3204 Sheridan road. After a wedding trip of ten days Mns. Boyden will come to Winnetka to live, and will be joined there every week-end by Lieutenant Boyden, who is an act- ing captain at Camp Grant. ff Miss Ruth Lieber, 988 Elm street, left last Saturday for an extended visit in the east.
