This advance you'll agree is not singular nor limited to auto- mobiles, yet some people ask if cars will be cheaper next spring. Have you noticed that the price of every popular make of car, (except Ford) has advanced within the past six months? And automobile men say they must advance again before spring. Financial experts, business critics predict the present or | higher prices for at least three years. Are you wise? Buy Your Ford Car Now Take delivery at your convenience R. D. I il zn pr eu VERYONE is most eager to know the names and the per- sonnel of the two plays that will be given at the Holiday Fete at the Winnetka Woman's club on Friday and Saturday of next week at'8 o'clock, under the auspices of the Women' Guild of Christ church. The committee under the chairmanship of Mrs. Laird Bell, and Mrs. Cornelius Lynde had ment to keep these facts secret, but certain rumors have leaked out. It is known fo: «instance that the heroine of the first play is Mrs. Henry Tenney, whose admirable acting in the "Amazons" has become a Winnetka tradition--and the leading role of the second and longer play will be acted by Mr. Perry Dunlap Smith, of the Country Day School, who has been noted as an actor of parts ever since his college days at Harvard. Some of the lucky few who have been admitted to re- hearsals declare that he is the funniest man they have ever seen on the stage although others declare that they find Lawrence Howe even more amusing. Both men have admirable roles for the exer- cise of their unusual talents. After the two interesting plays a very enthusiastic committee is planning two hours of dancing with a snappy jazz band, short inter- missions, cotillion features, wonderful time guaranteed. One ad- mission covers the plays and dancing. The dance committee besides Mrs. John T. Boddie, chairman, includes Mrs. Oliver S. Pitcher, Mr. and Mrs. Harve Badgerow, Mrs. Ralph Hobart, Street, John Ott, Donald Dallas and Harry Parrish. The children's party promises to be a great success. Children under eight years zrc invited from 2:3) to 4 o'clock: older children from 4:30 to 6 o'clock. Admission is to be paid at the door. The number of articles collected for the sale, which starts Friday at 2 o'clock, at the Holiday general beauty and usefulness is remarkable.
