Bakal Temple Would Cost About $1,200,000 Extensive data including complete details of the financial status of the - Bahai Movement were this week plac- 'ed in the hands of Wilmette Village officials, accompanied by a renewed request for a permit to build a temple on the site at Sheridan road, south of the Drainage channel. < Complying with a recent request ~ of the Village Board for more definite figures as to the actual cost of the erection of the proposed temple the data this week estimated the cost of ~ the structure at $1,200,000. It was stated also, that assurance is given that construction would proceed un- interrupted bringing the edifice to completion within a period of two years. Action on the request for a permit is expected at the next regular meet- ing of the Village Board scheduled for Tuesday evening, March 15. It was intimated by a village official that the permit would probably be granted should it be found that the Bahais had complied in every particular with the Board request. The Bahai "Temple question has been an issue of discussion in the village for several months and a déf- inite decision has been awaited with . considerable interest in every section of the village. CASE, PERRY VS. SCHROEDER CONTINUED TO SATURDAY The case of Perry vs. Schroeder, which has been making the cycle of north shore justice courts during the ~ past moon, was to have been disposed of in the sanctum of Justice McKenna at Kenilworth on Wednesday of this week. It wasn't. Reason: Justice McKenna was ill. The case is to be heard on Saturday, March 12, at 4 o'clock in Justice McKenna's tribun- al. Perry vs. Schroeder, now justly celebrated assault case, has, shall we say enjoyed or suffered changes of venue and continuances fast becom- ing too numerous to mention. Just- ices Mickey and Falk in turn receiv- ed the case only to lose out in favor of Justice McKenna who will, no doubt, be sufficiently improved to ~~ listen to evidence on Saturday. F. H. Perry, complainant, a month ago charged Paul Schroeder, north shore real estate operator, with assault in the latter's offices. Perry is said to be more than '80 years of age.
