4 NO BOND ISSUE ELECTION TODAY Board of Education Special Election: Await Bids On Greeley School Addi- tion Construction Postpones There is to be no Bond Issue Elec- tion in Winnetka today as reported previous issue of the Weekly in a k Talk. The election has been indefin- itely postponed by the Winnetka Board of Education to await the receipt of bids and, what is expected to be an attendant reduction of the estimated cost of building an addi- tion to the Greeley school. Voters in the village are given this notice so that no person may be in- convenienced by going to the voting place at Horace Mann school today only to be disappointed. Several weeks ago when Weekly Talk received official infor- mation of the proposed special elec- tion the Board of Education had de- cided to place before the voters, im- mediately, the proposition of issuing bonds to cover the expense of build- ing a large addition to the Greeley school to better accomodate the Pri- mary grades of the public schools. Since that time, however, the Board of Education 'has changed its plan and determined not to hold the election until bids for construction were received. Voters; remember, no Bond Issue Election today!
