Left Mcnday of this Week on the Steamer Puritan fcr Season of Camping on Shores of Lake Thirty Winnetka girls left the vil- lage Monday morning, July 18, for a season of camping at Lake Hamlin, Mich., from which place a group of Community House boys returned Saturday, July 16. The girls left Community House early Monday, in a fleet of antomo- biles, in charge of Mrs. E. W. Wortley, assistant director of Com- munity House, and embarked at the Chicago Municipal Pier on the steamer Puritan. The group will re- main in camp until August 6. Lake Hamlin is situated near Ludington, Mich. and is in charge of J. W. F Davies, director of Win- netka Community House. The Girls' camp includes the fol- lowing members: Margot Atkin, Susan Burlingham, Sarah Chickering, Marcia Converse, Ruth IL. Copeland, Frances Ellison, Phoebe Fuller, Janet Gordon, Mar- jorie Janney, Virginia Klein, Ellen Lorimer, Olga Mangel, Virginia MacLeish, Jean Markley, Frances McClain, Mary Miller, Margaret Newman, Caroline Roberts, Mary Spencer, Julia Spiegel, Margaret Sterrett, Fthel Thomas, Margaret White, Margery Windes, Marcell Vennema, Helen Deily, Katherine Hamilton, Mary Parker, Miss Fahs, Mrs. E. At present there are no north bound trains stopping at Winnetka be- tween 12:30 and 2.20, intervening trains that previously stopped in the village having been cancelled on the schedule. Village officials have been in com- munication with railroad officials and are expecting favorable action soon to remedy the situation.
