WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, AUGUST 6, 1921 TAKES MOVIES OF CHILDREN AT BIG RAVINIA CARNIVAL Motion pictures of north shore children who participated in the an- nual Carnival at Ravinia last Thurs- day were taken this year by S. Ella Wood Dean, 115 East Walton Place, Chicago, who makes a specialty of children's films, their games, dances and home life. The films are expected to be shown in the various villages of the north shore in the near future. HAYNES CARS IN PARADE The "Haynes Gala Day" at the Chi- cago Pageant of Progress is scheduled for August 9, according to Triangle Motors, Inc.,, which is planning a great parade of Haynes cars on that day. Haynes car owners of the north shore are expected to be in the "line of march". A special dinner and uni- que entertainment at the Marigold Gardens is in store for the partici- pants following the parade. The parade of 200 cars will go north on Sheridan road to Davis street, Ev- anston, west to Ridge avenue and south to the municipal pier. Davis street will see the show between 12 and 1 o'clock. CHOOSE A NAME! The Winnetka Board of Education is this week sending out postcards to every household in the village calling for suggestions for a name for the proposed new school building on West Elm street. The Board is desirous of a prompt response to this request. CLEAN-UP CONVENTION Walter Gibbon, Superintendent of Public Works, is planning to attend the convention of the International Association of Street Cleannig offi- cials to be held next week at the Hotel La Salle, Chicago.
