WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1921 COMMUNITY HOUSE CALENDAR WEEK OF DECEMBER 12, 1921 The Community Drama club will present to the public on Saturday afternoon, for children, the play "Why the Chimes Rang", and on Sun- day evening, at 8 o'clock, the plays "The Dust of the Road" and "Why the Chimes Rang". These will be given in the gymnasium of Commun- ity House, and will be open to the public without any charge. The monthly dinner of the Winnet- ka Men's club will be given in the gymnasium on Thursday evening, December 15. "Friendship Circle" will give a dance in the gymnasium, Tuesday evening at 8:30 o'clock. Monday, December 12, 1921 Afternoon--In the gymnasium, three classes for boys, beginning at 3:45. Camp Fire Meeting of Mrs. Lynne's group, at 4 o'clock. Blue Bird Meeting of Miss Harriett Child's group at 4 o'clock. CHRISTMAS SEAL SELLING PROCEEDS AT TOP SPEED The sale of Christmas seals in New Trier township is proceeding in earn- est. REPLACE WRECKED FLAGPOLE The old flagpole on the Community House commons, which was struck and shattered by lightning last Labor Day, has been replaced by a new 80- foot pole. The new pole is set in a substantial concrete caisson. The old pole was a gift to Community House by the Boy Scouts of the vil- lage.
