The program for the afternoon was in charge of the Art and Literature department and was in part an after- math of Christmas songs and stories. Mrs. P. B. Kohlsaat brought six children from her well trained chorus who sang two groups of songs. They were Hazel Cooley, Frances Ander- son, Jean Smith, Kathryn Ranney, Mary Tibbals and John Olmstead. Their songs were rendered with sweetness and purity of tone and in the last group of Russian carols, two parts were taken' with the obligato sung by Mrs. Kohlsaat. Mrs. J. F. Porter read two stories. The first, one which Tolstoy wrote for the peasants entitled "Where Love is God is"; the other one, a children's story, "Christmas Every Day." These were thoroughly enjoyed. The pro- gram closed with the audience unit- ing most heartily in the singing of Christmas carols, and it was the ex- pression of those present that this last program for the year of 1921 was one of the best.
