Glencoe Child Model For Albright's Prize Statue Little Dick Wernecke, four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Wer- necke, Glencoe residents, has been chosen by Melvin Albright, youthful sculptor who resides on Scott avenue, as the model for the child figure in his statue "Motherhood" now being done in the contest which will eventually place a work of that title at the en- trance to the Health Sanitarium at Lincoln Park, Chicago. Mr. Albright, son of the famous painter, won first place in the prelimi- nary contest among fifteen competi- tors. He is one of three now vying for the prize of $1,000 for the work to be selected.
