Early figures indicate registration in the New Trier Township High school Summer school will far exceed the enrollment in any previous year. Summer school sessions begin Mon- day morning, June 19, at 8 o'clock, and continues until August 11. With minor changes a possibility, the tentative summer school curricu- lum will include full first year classes in French and Spanish, classes in Geometry and Latin, and general scl- ence subjects. Students are asked to select two subjects. The school ses- sions will be confined to the morning hours and will comprise three periods of one and one-half hours each. Two periods will be employed as actual WINNETKA mer school is the opportunity pro- vided prospective first year students, just graduated from the eighth grades, to prepare effectively for the sizeable advance from grammar to secondary school work, its primary value being to permit the student to become acquainted with methods of high school instruction. Another value of the school is to permit students enrolled in the high school to progress more rapidly by reason of the additional session of study and to afford students who have fallen behind in certain sub- jects to keep apace with their classes.
