The camp directors, because of past happy experiences, have come to de- pend upon their friends along the North Shore to supply deficiencies in | | tion for him. Another thing which he did not like about the village was the absence of a spacious enough | public billiard hall, for he dearly loves the national Eskimo game. So he hied himself to Chicago where pool halls abound. Two sociable gentlemen allowed him to join in the pastime and Steve was almost happy. The day grew hotter and hot- ter. Haskins, whose death occurred Monday, June 19, in Saugatuck, Mich. at the residence at 615 Ash street. . Mr. Haskins was 64 years old. He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Rawleigh Warner, of Evanston, and five sons, Raymond G., George BE; Harold O., Frank A.. and Paul R. Haskins. The services were private, was engaged in annihilating his two playmates. Monday morning he was called before a judge in a Chicago | police court and asked why he was so rough. "Your honor," he said, wiping his brow, "I was so hot that I was itching all over and that always makes me want to fight." Several months ago when Steve went to the city, he was beset by two men who almost succeeded in sever- ing his right ear from his head. Since then he had tried to avoid catastro- phies. "You may go if you will promise to keep out of trouble," said the judge. Steve went, but he has not re turned to Winnetka and is said to be working for an ice company. Winnetka vs. Glencoe A. C.
