P-------- iy be a 1 ONDA POPULR OY 8 AINA ITO Symphony Concerts and Dancing on Programs By Ravinia Club Publicity Committee. Especial attention is called to the Monday nights at Ravinia this year, when the symphoay concerts will be resumed. The usual Saturday and Sunday afternoon programs will be given and at all such concerts, includ- ing Monday nights, all seats in the pavilion will be free. There will be no reserved seats, no extra admissions and only the gate admission will be necessary. There will be dancing in the Casino. Further announcements in this regard vill be made in a few days. Children's Programs Begin June 29 The Thursday afternoon programs for the children will begin on June 29, at 3:15 o'clock premptly. All children under 12 years will be admitted with- out charge. The first half of the open- ing program will be given by the Chi- cago Symphony orchestra under the direction of Jacques Gordon. The or- chestral numbers given on the first Thursday will not be included in the Music Memory (Contest which will be given at Ravinia later in the season. All other numbers on the following programs will he included in the con- test which will be one of the most unique as well as musically helpful features ever given on the Thursday afternoon programs. Folk Dances Feature The last half of the program on June 29 will be given over to the de- lightful folk dances under the direc- tion of John Dewar, assisted by Nor- man Dewar, the Bagpiper. The folk dances of the different nations given below: Scotch: Highland Fling, Reel, O'Tullah, Saean Trews. Irish: Irish Jig, Irish Reel, Irish Waltz Clog. English: Sailors Hornpipe, Manches- ter Hornpipe. American: International Swanee River Clog. The Ravinia club asks that the tick- et sale still be carried on. Many of the towns have not been fully can- vassed as new summer residents are pouring in and, though the committee have worked splendidly, it is almost impossible to solicit everybody. Call up your nearest chairman and let her Know if your subscription has not been asked for and if you are a new subscriber the committee will appre- ciate it if you do the same. Dance, STOLEN BICYCLE Charles Rudolph, 745 Sheridan road, reported the theft of his bicycle from the lake front Monday. A band of bicycle thieves are operating on the north shore, according to the police. Wilmette reported four wheels stolen in a single day.
