Rogers, 467 Linden St., T20-1te 8,000,000 CARS TO NEED A FEW TIRES "There are approximately 8,000, 000 automobiles in the United States. Men who have made a study of the industry, especially production figures for the last 20 years, have proven by law of averages that there will be a market in 1922 in replacements alone for practically 1,000,000 motor cars," says A. H. Jogeson of the North Shore Rubber company, Evanston. "Every one of the 8,000,000 cars registered in the United States must need some new tires. Maybe it will be only one tire but more likely it will be two. Every one of the new cars will take four tires and at least one spare. "That's the solid foundation upon which the automobile and tire in- dustry rests today. The place the motor car has taken in the business, social, and economic life of the nation makes it plain to anyone that the number of cars in this country will constantly increase. Some students of the industry believe that in five years there will be at least 15,000,000 to 16,000,000 automobiles in this country. "The tire manufacturers can see nothing but good business ahead of the readjustment in general business conditions now under way. Some pre- dict an actual shortage of tires im the near future." 906 a PB Laurels --must be won, and then must be held. They never come, nor do they long remain, without effort. The enviable reputation of this or- ganization is due to the fact that ever since 1914 we have been striving to give the best possible service, and are today as eager and as earnest as ever.
