The courses are designed to meet the needs of people interested in various phass of art. Most of thes lectures are free and open to the pub- lic. A series of twenty-one lectures on Sunday afternoons comprises the fol- lowing subjects, all of which are pre- sented by men and women distin- guished in these particular fields: Royal Cortissoz, art editor of the New York Tribune. and the author of many books on art subjects, will give a series of lectures on "The Genius of American Art." Richards of the Cooper Union, William M. Odom of the New York Sschool of Fine and Ap- plied Design, Francis Lengyon, and Fiske Kimball of the University of Virginia. Another group of these Sun- day lectures will present the subjects of the Louvre, the British Museum, and the Metropeiitan Museum. De- sign in its relation to paintings and architecture, the contribution of art], to the stage, to the city, and to print ing are other suljects which will be presented in this series of Sunday lec- tures. Another series of lectures on Satur- days will deal with the subjects of architecture, sculpture, and painting from early Egyptian times through the Greek,Roman, and Mediaeval periods to the Renaissance in France and Italy. These subjects will be pre- sented by members of the faculties of Princeton, Harvard, Columbia, Smith, and Wellesley, and by members of the staff of the museum. Gallery talks on the collections in the museum will be given on Saturdays and Sundays.
