W. L. McGoodwin has been engaged by the directors as business manager of the Recreation association. He will give his entire time to supervising its activities, and will have an office in the new club house. Building Nearing Completion Community Recreation association, located in Evanston on Lincoln street between Ridge avenue and the drain- age canal, is now nearing completion, the plumbing contract having been awarded. The lockers will be install- ed in due season and in fact rentals are now being provided. Chairman McGoodwin of the house committee announces that the annual rental of the locker to any one person will be $10 a year or $12, where two persons use the locker. Another innovation this year will be a change in rules regarding the daily greens fee. Heretofore, the Community Recreation association has charged 50 cents on week days and $1 on Saturdays, Sundays and holi- days, the purchaser of the ticket be- ing allowed to play as many rounds as he desired. The new rule will tend to relieve the pres- sure. Members are allowed to play as often during the day as they choose. The membership for men is $30 and women $20. There are no assessments of any kind. Members are allowed to reserve time so that there need be no waiting at the starter's house to get on the course. The entire playing this season will be up and down each side of the Drainage Canal, starting from the Chicago and Northwestern tracks where 'they intersect the drainage canal up to Sheridan road in Wil- mette.
