WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, APRIL 28, 1923 POT-COPPER IN WINNETKA Adam Scott: Piss Possesses Soul of a Poet When Adam Scott joined the Win- netka police force the chief knew that he was getting a tall rangy man who looked as though he might make a first class patrolman. What he didn't know was that he was getting a poet and a song writer into the bargain. For that is what Scott is in addi- tion to be being a guardian cf the peace. Scott has traveled a lot in his life time. When he was fourteen years old he left his Scottish home to sail before the mast. Later in his life he continued his roving hab- its. In almost every country, work- ing at almost every job, Scott has "lived." Consequently he has a wealth of experiences that call upon his muse. Scott's latest production is a song concerning Ireland in which he brings in peoples of several nationalities. Within the last week he has received a copyright on his song from the government at Washington and has turned it over to a production com- pany. Scott has also composed other songs, some of which have served considerable "hits." He thinks that his best piece of work is a poem which he calls "The Copper."
