Not quite settled yet, but, Oh, boy, what a store it's going to be. Absolutely, one of the finest any- where around! A. C. Perrin, who has been in the real estate business at 563 Lincoln ave- nue, Winnetka, has taken a partner into the firm. The new firm name is Gleason & Perrin and will be located at 554 Lin- coln avenue. The partners intend to ex- tend their business over a larger terri- tory on the north shore, and to handle larger listings of vacant and improved property. Zimmer Brothers, builders, formerly located in Chicago, will share the offices with Gleason and Perrin. They have done considerable building on the north shore. A. C. Perrin has built several houses in Winnetka and vicinity and has made several important deals in recent weeks. Blomdahl and Sundmark, well known Elm street shoe dealers, are carrying an attractive line of the "Kippy Klogs for Kids." Adams Pharmacy is advertising a book that should have a larger sale. It is a nursery guide book from the pen of a famous child specialist. "Piggly Wiggly All Over Town" now has a literal application in Winnetka. Peter Holtz installed a Piggly Wiggly store this week in the new McGuire and Orr building on Lincoln avenue. John Svinson, manager two years at the Wil- mette Piggly Wiggly, is to take charge of the Winnetka store which opens its doors to local shoppers today. And it will be some opening! Five piece or- chestra, floral tokens distributed by real, live flower girls. Piggly Wiggly will occupy a double store space in the build- ing which is located just north of Char- ley Patchen's Community Pharmacy. Fresh {fruits and vegetables every day as well as all nationally advertised pro- ducts! Four or five clerks to wait on the public! The Brown and White Cab company is telling the public some interesting facts about cabs this week. Polly Prim Shop enjoys making good hand-made clothes for children, and in creating new modes for the kiddies. Last week Brandl Brothers, Hubbard Woods coal dealers, listed some attrac- tive prices. Do you like pansies? Frank Borovika the florist, is snecializing in those blooms just now. Charley Patchen of the Community Pharmacy offers this as his bit to help keep the business life of the village bright: How True! If your nose is close to the grindstone rough, And you hold it down there long enough, In time you will say there is no such thing As brooks that babble and birds that sing. These three will all your world com- pose : Just you, and the stone, and your darned old nose. --Kiwanis Magizine.
