The surrounding woods afford splendid opportunity for camping trips, also for instruction in woodcraft, in building over-night shelters and lean-tos, and in the various branches of campcraft. In addition to learning to cook and prepare food over an open campfire, each boy gets a certain experience in the prepara- tion and serving of food in the camp dining room. : ; Daily camp inspections make for neatness, and the boy who for several weeks during the summer is required to place every personal belonging in its proper niche will return home more careful than ever to be orderly. Every phase of life in a carefully planned camp helps to lighten the burdens of the homemaker. Camp Roosevelt opens on July 2, and closes on August 18. AUTO PAINTING Nea.
