The evening prices will be 18 cents for children and 36 cents for adults. The matinee prices will be 13 cents for children and 27 cents for adults plus the war tax on all admissions. The same high class of motion pictures will be shown that have created so much favorable comment among the amusement lov- ing public of Evanston. This week end the special produc- tion, "Quicksands," starring Richard Dix and Helene Chadwick is shown at the New Evanston. In addition to these sterling features the usual carefully selected short subjects will be on the program. Among the big feature productions booked for the summer months at the. New Evanston, are the William Fox ten-reel special, "The Face on the Barroom Floor," with Henry Walthall in the leading role. An added attraction for this week-end will be Harold Lloyd's latest comedy, "High and Dizzy." For Monday, Tuesday and Wednes- day of next week the New Evantson offers one of the William Fox super- specials entitled "The Custard Cup." Mary Carr, star of "Over the Hill," takes the leading role in this production which should draw a record attendance at the New Evanston performances. r-- | Hoyburn Theatre We Harry Carey, Cullen Landis, Myrtle Stedman and Vola Vale are the stars for the opening programs of the Hoy- burn theater next week. They will be seen in "Crashing Through," char- acterized as one of the best pictures of recent release. The picture shows only on Monday, June 25. For Tuesday, Wednesday and Thurs- day, June 26, 27, and 28, the Hoyburn offers that great success, "The Girl of the Golden West," David Belasco's powerful drama of the stage. In the cast will be seen such luminaries as J. Warren Kerrigan, Sylvia Breamer, Russel Simpson and Rosemary Thebe. In this picture one lives over again the chivalry, romance, danger and thrill of the days of '49. Marshall Neilan's great drama, "Fools First," will be the Hoyburn headliner on Friday and Saturday, June 29 and 30. Stars of the play are Claire Windsor, Richard Dix and Claude Gillingwater. : Howard Theatre Clara Kimball Young, returns to the Howard screen after a long absence from programs at that theatre She will be seen on Sunday, June 24, in her latest production, "Cordelia The Magnificent." Thomas Meighan will be the "bright shining star" at the Howard during four days commencing Mon- day, June 25. The vehicle is "The Ne'er Do Well." An added attraction will be "The High Flyers", featuring the Hall Room Boys. "The Little Church Around the Corner" comes to the Howard for Fri- day and Saturday, June 28 and 29. The comedy feature will be Al St. John's "Young and Dumb". DeMille has 2,500 persons and 4,000 animals at Guadelupe, Cal, in a reproduction of the ancient Egyp- tian city built by the children of Israel. It is one of the biggest acts ever built for motion pictures and will form the background for the Biblical prologue of Mr. DeMille's film version of "The Ten Commandments." From 1914 to 1918 Gaston Glass actu- ally achieved a war record of his own as distinguished as that he assumes in his recent picture, "The Hero."
