Sidley, will take place on Sat- urday, July 14, at St. Chrysostom's church, Chicago. Miss FitzWilliam will have Mrs. Howard Lincoln, her cousin, of Claremont, N. J., for her matron of honor, Josephine Sidley, a cousin of the bridegroom, will be maid of honor, and Louisa Thompson of Evanston will be bridesmaid. Hale Holden will serve as best man for Mr. Sidley and the ushers will be Howard Lincoln, Frederick W. Cope- land of Winnetka, Charles Frake of Duluth, Keith - Carpenter, Bane Fuller, and Dorsey Montgomery. The reception following the wedding will be for the family and a few close friends. ---- The home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ernest Logie, at 1032 Ashland avenue, Wilmette, attractively decorated in roses, peonies, palms and ferns, was the scene of a very lovely wedding on Wednesday evening of last week, when their daughter, Louise, was united in marriage to Mr. Werner E. Wahlman, of Chicago. The service was read at eight-thirty o'clock, by Dr. Hubert C. Carleton, rector of St, Augustine's church, Wilmette. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white satin and lace, trimmed with a girdle of silver leaves, and pearls. Her tulle veil was fastened to the head by a coronet of rose point, and she carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses. Miss Jane Logie, who was her sis- ter's only .attendant, wore a frock of chiffon and gold lace, made with a girdle of blue, and carried an arm bouquet of pink roses. Mr. and Mrs. Wahlman are enjoy- ing a short wedding trip and upon their return will take up their residence in Chicago. ---- Miss Adelaide Murphy, daughter of Mrs. Thomas Murphy, 1043 Loyola ave- nue, Chicago, formerly of Winnetka, was united in marriage to Adam Koch, Jr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Koch of 68 East Goethe street, Chicago, Satur- day morning, June 30. The party with a big cake and twelve friends, was in honor of Mrs. Anne McAllister's eighty-third birthday. Mrs. McAllister was born in Scot- land and spent her girlhood days there, then she came over to America and serv- ed for many years as a nurse and hair- dresser. She has been a resident of Win- netka for thirty years. pape Mr. C. W. Cole of Los Angeles, Cal., who recently spent three weeks visiting old friends in Winnetka, returned to the West the latter part of last week, accompanied by Perry Lieber, 468 Ridge avenue. They plan to stop in Yellow- stone for several days, and also visit in Seattle and Portland before reaching Los Angeles. Mrs. M. H. Lieber plans to leave carly in August to spend a month in Los Angeles. - Miss Adelaide Murphy, daughter of Mrs. Thomas Murphy of Chicago, form- erly of Winnetka, became the bride of Adam Koch, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Koch, of Chicago, last Saturday morning at 11:30 o'clock at St. Ignatius church. CTIVITIES Winnetka society, at least that part of it which is still in town, is greatly interested in the wedding of Miss Cor- delia Carpenter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Carpenter, 1545 Astor street, Chicago, whose marriage to Dr. Nathan Davis III was yesterday's large social event. The service took place at five o'clock in the afternoon in St. Chrysostom's church. The Carpenters are former residents of Hubbard Woods, having moved to their Chicago home only within the past four or five years. --(---- Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Olson and daugh- ter, Dorothy, until recently of Wilmette, and now of the Evanston Hotel, left June 30, on a tour of the West, as mem- bers of a party from Cook County Real Estate Board of which Mr. Olson is a member. Banff, Lake Louise, San Fran- cisco, lL.os Angeles, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon of Arizona, Pike's Peak, and Colorado Springs, will be among the most interesting places visited. Miss Olson graduated this June from the Liberal Arts course at Northwestern university. --_--O-- Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Merriman and young daughter, Elsa, who have resided the past year at the home of Mrs. Mer- riman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Ott Mrs. Charles Lewis Day and Miss Dorothy Day, 454 Sheridan road, have returned from New Haven, where they went to attend the graduation exercises at Yale. Lewis A. Lieber, 468 Ridge avenue, entertained informally at lunch- eon yesterday in honor of Miss Eliza- beth Vose of Portland, Maine. Miss Vose is a former classmate of Mrs. Lie- ber's daughter, Mrs. Edward A. Biery of Huntington Beach, Cal. ---- Miss Christine McCordic, who, in the last year has been traveling in Europe, and studying sculpture in Paris and in Rome, will land in New York Friday, from where she will come on directly to Winnetka. ---- Mrs. Oscar Parson and daughter, 635 Maple avenue, returned Monday from a trip to Michigan by boat. Mrs. Bolter and her daughter, Mrs. Harold Larson, and friends from Chicago were others of the party. ---- Mrs. Wm. O. Coleman and baby, of Hill road, are leaving next week for Newcanan, Connecticut. Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Buck, 1290 Scott avenue, will go to Newcannan, later in the summer. Oem Mrs. Jane McKee and daughter, of Pasedena, Cal, who were on their way to Columbia university, stopped off for a few days' visit at the home of Mrs. Maurice Pryor, 450 Sunset road. mC Mr. and Mrs. Byron H. Knapp, of Wilmette, announced the marriage of their daughter, Ruth, to Mr. Howard Arthur Hammond, which took place on Saturday, May 26. Wilson, who teaches English at New Trier High school, is spending the summer in Colorado. Miss Ora B.
