Transportation facilities are not good and a strike possibility looms. The hard coal miners and the producers were in conference at Atlantic City over a demand for an increase in the wage scale. The deadlock and consequent withdrawal of the delegates indicate the probability of a strike on September 1st. The Federal Fuel Distributor warns that "unless the coal consuming public immediately heeds the repeated warnings of federal departments to put in their winter supplies this summer, coal troubles next winter are practically certain." The supply of hard coal at the head of the lakes, and midwest rail points, is practically exhausted, with not enough to supply the territory. Any break in the flow of hard coal will mean another hard coal shortage this winter. We advise everyone to be on the safe side and have their coal delivered at once. There is also the satisfaction of having your winter's supply of coal in the bin and feeling that you are provided for against any possible trouble and annoyance such as last year when it was prac- tically impossible to get Anthracite coal. Do not allow yourself to get into the situation you were in last winter. Jizz, Li zzzzzzzzZzZdZzz 7, BUY YOUR COAL NOW HUBBARD WOODS LUMBER & COAL CO. Phone Winnetka 452 i ed i i Ln es Zrii,
