The Upper school, beginning with the fourth grade and through the high school, will meet in the church auditorium. The Kindergarten will meet in the Assembly room and the Primary department in the gymnasium of the Communijty House. The school bus route will be the same as last year: From and to the Northwest-- Starts at 8:45--north on Center street and Linden to Scott. At 8:55--west on Scott to Vernon; south on Vernon to North. At 9:05--east on North to Burr. At 9:10--south on Burr and Rose- wood to Elm. At 9:15--east on Elm to Lincoln to church. From and to the Southeast-- Starts at 8:45--south on Linden to Hill, At 8:50--east on Hill to Ridge; south on Ridge to Winnetka, east on Winnetka to Woodland. At 9:00--north on Woodland to Willow to Walnut. At 9:10--north on Walnut to Elm; west on Elm to Lincoln to church. The children are asked to gather at street corners along the route on the right side of the bus. Return trips will be made over the same route, leaving the church at 10:50 o'clock. EXAMINATION FOR CLERKSHIP Examinations are to be held today at the Community House for the posi- tions of Clerk-Carrier at the Win- netka post office. The tests begin promptly at 3 o'clock under super- vision of J. C. Braun, local secretary of the United States Civil Service commission. Hill and Stone Report Activity In Real Estate Hill and Stone's Winnetka office re- ports the following recent real estate sales: Fred W. Fairman has purchased the 140 foot lot next to Dr. Blatchford's home on the Arbor Vitae road; Ervin Dryer bought the 100 foot vacant lot on Maple avenue, just south of Pine street; the 150 foot frontage on the northeast corner of Lincoln avenue and Summit street has been purchased by Mrs. Julia R. Dickinson; Sidney Stein has bought the 192 foot frontage in Hubbard Woods, on Private road; Wil- lard C. McNitt has purchased the 75 foot frontage on the northeast corner of Pine and Locust streets; D. I. Dunn has purchased 50 feet of property on Asbury avenue, Hubbard Woods, just west of Vernon avenue. The title of the forthcoming Warner classic, "Lucretia Lombard," has been changed to "Loveless Marriages." It is stated that the reason for this is the fact that movie fans may not be mis- led into believing the photoplay is a costume picture, as "Lombard" is a province in Italy, and "Lucretia" was the first name of the late Madame Borgia. Monte Blue and Irene Rich are starred in the feature. Read the Winnetka Talk Teachers Find Homes: Board Says Thank You! Winnetka"s autumn problem of housing the teachers of the public schools has been solved, thanks to the generous help of the householders of the village in offering living accom- modations for the instructors. Appeals sounded by the Winnetka Parent-Teacher association in the columns of the Winnetka Talk brought alnyost immediate response from scores of residents who placed rooms at the disposal of the teachers. The Parent-Teacher association and the Board of Education, through Mrs. F. Wagner, chairman of the commit- tee in charge of locating rooms for teachers, have asked the Talk to give expression to their appreciation of this splendid demonstration of Win- netka's community spirit. MANAGER ON VACATION Village manager H. L. Woolhiser is absent from his desk while enjoying a brief vacation at Almo, Wisconsin. He expects 'to return to his duties in the village about October 1.
