Goodrich, 2506 Lakeview avenue, Chicago, the only living mem- ber of the first class to enter Northwest- ern university, and the oldest living alumnus of that institution, celebrated the 68th anniversary of his first registra- tion by going back to the university Wednesday at 10 o'clock to register again as a freshman. Mr. Goodrich was es- certed by Mrs. John H. Grace, Jr. of River Forest, a member of the class of 1920 of the university, who was dressed in a costume of 1855, the year of Mr. Goodrich's first registration. Mr. Goodrich, though over 86 years old, is still actively engaged in business. He is to be found daily at his office, 25 North Dearborn street. He is the son of Grant Goodrich, a founder of the university and was one of ten students to register in University Hall (now Old College Hall). He will return to vis- it that building today.
