The play will remain at the theater over the week-end. On Monday, Gloria Swanson and H. B. Warner will grace the New Evanston silver sheet in the film ver- sion of that great French production, "Zaza," made famous on the stage and in opera. "Zaza" is Gloria Swanson's latest picture and is accounted by many critics as her very best effort. Mr. Warner's appearance in the picture is especially interesting at this time in view of the fact, he is being so favor- ably received in the spoken drama, "You and I," now playing at the Play- house. More exclusive super-dramas for the New Evanston in the coming weeks. -- Hoyburn Theatre 3) The week of Monday, October 15, brings three super-productions to the Hoyburn in "Trilby," showing Monday and Tuesday; "The Last Moment," show- ing on Wednesday, and "Main Street," booked for the balance of the week. "Trilby" is taken from the famous story of that title. Andree Lafayette makes a charming Trilby and Arthur Edmund Carew's impersonation of Sven- gali is called a masterpiece of art. The production is considered one of the real classics of screen history. "The Last Moment," is Jack Boyle's thrilling tale of society and sea life. It is a mystery story of unusual fascina- tion. An all-star cast is seen in this production and the settings are attrac- tive and realistic. "Main Street," known to every reader in the United States, is a faithful inter- pretation of Sinclair Lewis' most sensa- tional novel. Such well known players as Monte Blue, Florence Vidor and Noah Beery, head the great cast of characters. It is a Warner Brothers production. | Howard Theatre ] -- "Main Street," screen version of Sinclair Lewis' celebrated story of that title, will be the Howard offering for Friday and Saturday, October 12 and 13. Florence Vidor and Monte Blue have the leading roles, with Noah Beery appearing prominently in the supporting cast. Forrest Nicholi, cornetist, will be as a treat on the musical program. For Sunday, October 14, Tom Mix will be displayed in one of his cus- tomary thrillers, this time entitled "The Lone Star Trail." "Jungle Pals" will be an added feature. Robert W. Chambers' novel, "The Common Law," will be seen in its film interpretation at the Howard Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Corinne Griffith, Conway Tearle and Elliott Dexter are the stars. Syble Comer, known as "a Spanish Singer of Span- ish Songs," is billed for the specialty entertainment. Elaine Hammerstein is the Adelphi star for Friday and Saturday of this week. "Broadway Gold" is the vehicle for this comely and _talented player who has scores of trinmphs to her credit. . Buster Keaton will provide the comedy, his latest, "The Love Nest." "Salomy Jane," with Jacqueline Logan, George Fawcett and Maurice Flynn, will be seen on Sunday and Monday, October 14 and 15. Adelphi patrons will have the priv- ilege of seeing a treasured favorite on Tuesday's programs in the appear- ance of Enid Bennett, in her produc- tion, "Your Friend and Mine." The season's sensation, "Down to the Sea in Ships" will come to the Adelphi for two days showing on Wednesday and Thursday. It is un- questionably one of the greatest pic- tures ever filmed.
