Mr. Loomis began with the opinion that in later years Lloyd George will be famous not so much for his part in the world war, great as it was, but rather for his courage and persistence in the period preceding. In citing incidents to prove his belief, Mr. Loomis told how Lloyd George sided with the Boers dur- ing the Boer War, and was not afraid to set forth his convictions, even though by doing so he endangered his popular- * qty and political success...
