Hence this means of calling Winnetka's attention to the coming Canvass on || Sunday, December 2nd, for funds tO provide support, for 1924, for the \ Winnetka Congregational Church and its ghare of Community House. i We say wfinnetka." We mean, of course, that part of Winnetka which comprises the parish of this Church. For we pbespeak the gzme hearty support for the Episcopal Church on the part of its parish, and for the other churches. We are for churches; not our Church only. But for those who fall within our parish -- those who send their children to our Church School -- those who enjoy our gervices -= those who are not giving to other Winnetka churches -- We agk hearty gupport to the cempaign of December 2nd. We are a Community Church -- members have come from 23 denominations. The influence of our pastors and orgenizations is far-reaching in good works. We are Christian, but not gectarian. We believe in & practical religion, eX- pressing itself in right 1iving and community usefulness. We seek to serve. We are democratic in our financial program. We have NO endowment . We have no pew rents. We have few large givers. We depend upon the conscientious pledges of a large number of families to carry our big work through. $9,000. of our Budget goes tO Community Houge, property owned by the Church put operated by 2 Board of Governors representative of the Village 88 & whole. $14,000. goes for teaching, preaching, healing, educating 1ess-favored com- munities in thie country and throughout the world. The remainder of our $56,000. Budget 1s spent in Winnetka, for our children and ourselves, that Winnetka may be a better, happier place in which to live. We serve 365 days in the year. We ask on one day -- December 2nd -- for the financial backing that will carry us through. Are you one of those who ought to be back of a Church like this?
