Winnetkans shared the sum of $14,000 this week, which represents the total amount of money paid out to individuals who took ad- vantage of the Christmas Savings plan of the Winnetka State Bank and the Winnetka Trust and Savings Bank. The Winnetka State Bank reports that $9,000 was paid out in Christmas Savings checks to about 300 people, while it is announced that the Win- netka Trust and Savings Bank paid 100 people a total sum of approxi- mately $5,000. Last year the Trust and Savings Bank paid out approximately $2,500, thus showing an increase of 50 percent this year.
