North Shore Basketeers Put In Stiff Practices The basketball squad of the North Shore Country Day school apparently has little interest in vacation oppor- tunities if one may judge by the sche- dule of practice games for the holi- days. The boys are on the job early each morning for the daily workout and prospects are bright for some real battles here-abouts after the resump- tion of classes following the Christ- mas vacation. Although losing some of her best men by graduation, the North Shores are confident of appearing on the floor with one of the best school teams in this vicinity. Wigmore Ready With Lectures on League Dean John H. Wigmore of Northwest- ern University Law School is now ready with his lecture on "The League of Nations--Its Organization and its Work." This lecture represents the results of his observations during his sojourn at Geneva last August and September. It is not controversial nor argumentative, but merely de- scriptive. Its unique feature is that it presents a set of nearly 100 colored lantern views illustrating all aspects of the League's work. These slides have been prepared for Dean Wig- more in Chicago since his return and are the first attempt to describe the League in lantern pictures. They in- clude views of the Council, the as- sembly, the committees, the expert commissions, the international confer- ences, and facsimiles of many interest- ing and important documents not yet published, including correspondence from the American State Department.
