WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 1924 P.TAPLAYS WELL RECEIVED Teachers in Schools Appear in Casts The Jane Kuppenheimer Memorial hall of the Skokie school was the scene of the presentation of two delightful plays by the Parent-Teacher association of Winnetka, under the direction of Miss Douglass Whitehead, Wednesday evening of this week. "Tickless Time," a comedy in one act, written by Susan Glaspell and George Cram Cook, was given first, while "The Pot Boiler," a satire by Alice Gerstenberg ended the program. Later in the evening a dance was given, music being furnished by the Vagabond orchestra. "A Day in Arcady," a song cycle for two voices, was rendered by Mrs. C. E. Karlstrom and Mrs. William A. Thrall, with Mrs. Everett Harris at the piano, between the plays, was greatly enjoyed. Mrs. Karstrom also sang "Nursery Rhymes" by Curron and the "House that Jack Built" by Sydney Homer. Mrs. Thrall sang "Brown Bird Singing," a comopsition by Haydn-Wood, and "Voice of April" by Rogers.
