12 WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, JULY 26, 1924 OCIALACTIVITIES Village to Have Indian Side Show at Circus ARNIVAL Day is the special feature planned for children on Thursday, July 31, at Ravinia. Miss Bertha Iles will bring youngsters from Chicago who will give circus stunts, while the side shows, for no circus is complete without these fascinating mysteries, will be given by children of the north shore towns. The Winnetka committee feels that it has been extremely fortunate in securing Kioto Tecumseh ,a full blooded Dakota Indian who, in the complete war dress of his tribe, will weave into his songs the tribal themes of the Dakotas. Mr. Tecumseh, a resident of Winnetka, is well known in radio circles for he has broadcast his songs at intervals during the winter. Winnetka children, attired in Indian dress, will take their part in the side show which is also having as added attractions, snakes and monkeys, which Mrs. Ickes of Hubbard Woods is lending for the occasion. Village kiddies will also be balloon venders, and those who wish to be photographed will find it possible to have their pictures in their possession a minute after the taking. The fun begins at 3 o'clock.
