Last week Elizabeth McKinney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ayer McKinney of Chatfield road, had an enthusiastic party at the beach, with water sports followed by a corn roast. On Wednesday of this week Jeanne and Katherine Street had an equally jol- ly affair at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Street, 592 Sher- idan road. Games and swimming made good appetites for the delicious porch supper ; and the evening gave a chance to sing again the camps songs and ex- change kodak pictures of the camp life. MARKET EXPERT AVIATOR IS ALSO STAR AT GOLF According to an Atlanta, Ga., news- paper, Captain Fraser Hale, son of Henry R. Hale, of this village, copped the runner-up award in the champion- ship golf tournament of the Fourth Corps area, held recently in that city. The same publication announces that Captain Hale anticipated departing from Atlanta on August 25, via the airplane route, for Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where he will participate in the national army golf championship to be played there September 1-6. The Atlanta newspaper continues: "Captain Hale, of the army air serv-, ice at the Georgia School of Tech- nology and coach of the Tech golf team, scored a 78 in the one round of medal play over the difficult East Lake course, while Captain Watkins had a card of 82. "Captain Hale is recognized as one of the strongest players in the Atlanta district, which includes many well known golfers." Aor r Menu a A 'variety to suit every taste. === That will please you.
