The width of the pro- posed roadway in.Scott Avenue shall be twenty-six (26) feet from the pres- ent concrete pavement at a line eighty (80) feet easterly from and parallel with the easterly line extended of Lin- den Avenue and from the north cor- porate limits of the Village of Win- netka to the proposed roadway in said Linden Avenue. The width of the road- way return at Center Street and North Avenue shall be forty (40) feet. The width of the roadway returns at Lin- den Avenue south of North Avenue and at the west end of said improve- ment in North Avenue and at the west and east roadway returns at Linden Avenue and Merrill Street shall be twenty-one (21) feet. The width of the roaway at the west return of Lin- den Avenue and Scott Avenue shall be thirty-two (32) feet. All the road- ways shall be widened along curved lines at the curb corners as follows: The radii at the southeast and the southwest curb corners at North Ave- nue and Center Street shall be twenty (20) feet; at the southeast and south- west curb corners at North Avenue and Linden Avenue thirty-seven (37) feet; at the northeast curb corner of North Avenue and Linden Avenue nine- ty (90) feet; at the northwest curb corner of North Avenue and Linden Avenue twenty-five (25) feet. At each of the curb corners at Gage Street and Linden Avenue, at Merrill Street and Linden Avenue, and at Scott Avenue and Linden Avenue the radii shall be twenty-five feet, including curbing, pro- tecting and cleaning said proposed concrete pavements, grading, and smoothing parkways, trenching, back- filling and the removal of all surplus excavated materials, all within the village of Winnetka, County of Cook and State of Illinois, said improvement being otherwise known as Winnetka Special Assessment No. 406,691, in ac- cordance with the ordinance hereto- fore passed therefor, will be received by the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Winnetka by or be- fore eight o'clock p. m. on Tuesday the ninth day of December, A. D. 1924, at which heur all bids will be opened at a meeting to be held in the Coun- cil Chamber of the Village Hall, in the said Village of Winnetka, Cook | County, Illinois. 5 . he. WNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the contract for the construction of the following improvement: ; vor an electric street lighting sys- tem to be constructed in portions of Linden Avenue, North Avenue, Scott Avenue, Merrill Street, Gage Street and Center Street; also from and connect- ing with the said proposed electric street lighting system in Gage Street at a point fifty-five (55) feet south- westerly from the southwesterly line extended of the Right-of-way and sta- tion grounds of the Chicago and North Western Railway Company, thence northwesterly in a line fifty-five (55) feet southwesterly from and parallel with the said southwesterly line of right-of-way and station grounds of the Chicago and North Western Railway Company to the northwesterly line of Lot Three (3) in Block four (4) of Jared Gage"s Subdivision of part of the northwest quarter of fractional Sec- tion Seventeen (17) and of part of the east half of the southwest Quarter of Fractional Section Eight (8), Town- ship Forty-two (42) North, Range Thirteen (13) East of the Third Prin- cipal Meridian, Winnetka, Cook Coun- ty, Illinois, said improvement being otherwise known as Winnetka Special Assessment No. 403,418, was awarded on November 25th! 1924, to Electrical Contracting Co., 844 Rush Street, Chi- cago, Illinois, for the sum of Nineteen Thousand seven hundred seventy and 40/100 Dollars ($19,770.40).
