ry ps: ng] u WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 1924 Second Chamber Recital To Be Given December 7 The second recital of chamber music will be given at 4 o'clock on Sunday af- ternoon, December 7, in the assembly hall at Kenilworth. The artists on this oc- casion will be the Muenzer Trio, com- posed of Hans Muenzer, violinist. Hans Koelber, cellist, and Rudolph Wagner, pianist. Concerning this trio it was said by Glenn Dillard Gunn, well-known music critic, formerly on the Chicago Tribune: "They combined the spirit and enthusiasm of youth with the insight and judgment of maturity." And Karleton Hacknett of the Chicago Evening Post reviewed them as a "genuine chamber music organiza- tion, a trio of real quality." Hans Muen- zer will be recalled by many as the musi- cian who, acting as concertmaster of the Symphony Players of Chicago in a re- cent concert at New Trier hall, gave such eminent satisfaction not only be- cause of his ability but particularly be- cause of the genuine interest and en- thusiasm which he manifested. At this December 7 recital the Muen- zer Trio will play a G-major trio by Mozart and a trio by Enrico Bossi. Tickets may be obtained at the door. Noted Music Authority Speaks at High School Dr. Charles D. Isaacson, noted musi- cal authority and music critic, addressed New Trier Township high school stu- dents at assembly last Monday morning on "Art." He laid particular emphosis upon music and opera. And concluded his address with the history and story cf Verdi's "Aida." . Dr. Isaacson held the attention of his audience closely. According to Cyrus Daniel, instructor in music at New Trier, the speech was one of the best and most interesting talks heard at that school in some time.
