WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, MAY 2, 1925 21 oo VILLAGE OF WINNETKA Record of an adjourned regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Winnetka held in the Council Cham- ber of the Village Hall in the Village of Winnetka, Cook County, Illinois, at eight o'clock P. M. Monday, April 27, 1925. The meeting was called to order by | Fresident Miller. Present: President Miller, Trustees Pierce, Raclin, Strong and McPherson. Absent: Trustees Langworthy and Tenney. On motion made by Trustee McPher- son, seconded by Trustee Pierce, and carried, Trustees Pierce, Raclin, Strong and McPherson voting aye, the reading | of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. An Ordinance for the vacation of that portion of Sunset Road lying west- erly of the westerly line of Fuller Lane, in the Village of Winnetka, Cook County, Illinois, read, ordered engrossed and posted at the meeting of April 21st, 1925, was again read, and on motion made by Trustee McPherson, seconded by Trustee Iierce, and car- ried, Trustees Pierce, Raclin, Strong and McPherson voting aye, the further consjderation of said ordinance was postponed to the next meeting of the Council. An Ordinance dedicating for use as a public street the following described lands: That part of Block Fifty (50) in Winnetka, being a subdivision of the Northeast quarter of Section Twenty (20) and the north half of Fractional Section Twenty-one (21), in Township Forty-two (42) North, Range Thirteen (13) East of the Third Principal Mer- idian, acccording to the plat thereof re-recorded in the office of the Re- corder of Cook County, Illinois, in Book 5 of Plats, at Page 78 as Doc- ument Number 119381, lying north- easterly of and adjoining a line drawn parallel with and seventy-five (75) feet southwesterly from, as measured at right angles to, the southwesterly line, and said line extended, of the right-of-way of the Chicago and North Western Railway Company, and south- westerly of and adjoining a line drawn parallel with and nine (9) feet south- westerly from, as measured at right angles to the southwesterly line and said line extended of said right-of- way, excepting therefrom that part of said tract lying south of a line thirty- three (33) feet north of and parallel with the center line of Ash Street, said center line being the south line of said Block Fifty (50), also excepting therefrom that part of said tract of land lying north of a line thirty-three (33) feet south of and parallel with the center line of Cherry Street, said center line being the north line of said Block Fifty (50), in the Village of Winnetka, County of Cook and State of Illinois, read, ordered engrossed and posted at the meeting of April 21st, 1925, was again read, and on mo- tion made by Trustee Pierce, seconded by Trustee McPherson and carried, Trustees Pierce, Raclin, Strong and McPherson voting aye, the further consideration of said ordinance was postponed to the next meeting of the Council. There was then received from the Board of Local Improvements of the Village of Winnetka, a recommenda- tion, estimate and draft of ordinance as follows:. RECOMMENDATION OF THE BOARD OF LOCAL IMP- PROVEMENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF WINNETKA, COOK COUNTY, ILLI- To the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Winnetka, Cook Coun- ty, Illinois, in Council Assembled: We herewith submit an ordinance for a local improvement to be made within the Village of Winnetka, Cook County, Illinois, as follows, to-wit: That a new street be opened, and that Church Road (formerly Church Street and Maple Avenue) be widened by condemning therefor the following described tracts of land, including all buildings and other structures located thereon: TRACT NUMBER 1. That part of Lot Twelve (12) in Whitman's Sub- division of all that part of the South Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Fractional Section Twenty-one (21) in Township Forty-two (42) North, Range Thirteen (13) East of the Third Principal Meridian which lies east of the center line of Church Road and west of the right-of-way of the Chicago and North Western Railway Company, that is described as fellows: Beginning at the South- east corner of said Lot Twelve (12); thence west along the south line of said Lot Twelve (12) twenty-eight (28) feet; thence northeasterly in a straight line, twenty-seven and two- tenths (27.2) feet, to a point in the northeasterly line of said Lot Twelve (12), twenty-nine (29) feet north- westerly from the southeast corner of said Lot Twelve (12); thence southeasterly along the northeasterly line of said Lot Twelve (12), twenty- nine (29) feet, to the point of begin- ning, all in the Village of Winnetka, County of Cook and State of Illinois. Whitman and wife to the Chicago and North West- ern Railway Company, by deed dated November 21, A.
