+ 2% nS I. -- WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, MAY 23, 1925 11 Announce Date of Annual Christmas Tree Festivity N Saturday, June 6, at 3 o'clock, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ferry on Sheridan road, the third anual Christmas Tree party will be given to provide gifts for the boys and girls in the Congregational Church mis- sion stations in India and China. A short talk given on the lawn will be followed by refreshments and games. Everyone will be welcome, and each guest is asked to "Come, bring a gift, share the fun, and pass it on." The committee would appreciate money and materials in advance to be used for presents. Donations may be left at Com- munity House marked "Summer Christ- mas Tree". Following is a list of sug- gested gifts: Small mirrors, combs, wash cloths, small Turkish hand towels, small toys such as whistles, pocket knives, tops, toy watches, unbreakable dolls, balls (old tennis balls will do), soap, bright narrow ribbons or tapes, scissors, needles, knitting needles, white thread and yarns, safety pins, three-quarter or one yard pieces of bright calico, percale, lawn, etc., pencils, crayons, mittens, gloves, scarfs, colored post cards, used or unused; colored maga- zine pictures, handkerchiefs, tooth brushes and tooth paste, books of crochet patterns, old sheets and pillow cases torn or rolled for bandages, kindergarten supplies of all kinds, in fact any small easily packed gift suitable for inhabitants in India or China. Games are not desired. The committee announces that the gifts bearing happiness will be promptly for- warded to fun-loving boys and girls in India and China.
