oo 20 WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, MAY 23, 1925 Kenilworth Happinings Cards have been sent out for the benefit bridge party for the Lovedale Memorial fund which is used at the Park Ridge School for Girls. The affair will be given Monday, May 25, at 2 o'clock, at Skokie club. You are asked to make up your own tables, and for reservations, telephone Mrs. W. W. Wheelock of 132 Oxford road. This memorial was started many years ago by The Neighbors as a tribute to one of their former mem- bers, Mrs. Isabella Lovedale. Each year the fund has been used for the maintenance of the dining room of the Illinois cottage. This charity has a particular appeal to Kenilworth people and it is hoped that the party will be a large one. -- The women of the Church of the Holy Comforter wish it again an- nounced that their food sale for the benefit of the Rectory fund will take place tomorrow, Saturday, May 23, at 2 o'clock at the Assembly hall. Tea will be served all afternoon. The most delicious cakes, pastries, breads, and rolls will be on sale. You are asked to come prepared to do your week-end marketing there, and then enjoy a cup of tea. --Q-- There are several parties on this week's calendar. Mrs. Harry Visser- ing entertained at luncheon and bridge last Wednesday, at her home. To- morrow, May 23, Mrs. Amuel B. Spach and Miss Spach are giving a tea. On Tuesday, May 26, Mrs. J. H. Newport, Mrs. Charles D. Howe, and Mrs. Richard C. Johnston will be hostesses at a luncheon and bridge at the North Shore Golf club. CO The last meeting for the year of the Critics on the Hearth will be held next Tuesday at the home of Mrs. B. K. Spicer. Luncheon will be served in the garden, around the outside hearth, if the weather permits. The discussion will be: "Plans for the Next Year." --_---- plans are already under way for several families. Cornelia Keith returned last week from Big Lake, Wis. Mrs. Keith has joined Mr. Keith there for a week to put every- thing in readiness for the summer. They will motor back this week-end. --Q-- Two former residents of Kenilworth were here last week visiting old friends. Thev were Mrs. Malcom Fuller and Mrs. Walter Bew, formerly Lucy and Edith Chander, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chandler. Vacation i Mr. and Mrs. Henry Taylor have as their guests for two weeks, Mrs. Edward Taylor and her daughter, Phoebe Jane, who are in Chicago for the summer from Melbourne, Fla.
