Atwood, Jr., director of the motion picture department of Com- munity House, announces that begin- ning Tuesday, June 2, evening motion picture performances will start at 7:30 and 9 o'clock. The Tuesday and Fri- day matinees will be at 4 o'clock as in the past. Next Tuesday's feature picture will be "Frivolous Sal" starring Fugene O'Brien, Mae Busch, and Ben Alexan- der. "Frivolous Sal" is a real West drama. This is the story of a young man who is continually forced to obtain financial aid from his father to settle breach of promise suits. The father, hoping to make his son do a little work, sends him to Basque, a quaint little Spanish town in the Pyrenees mountains. The inhabitants of Basque, as in all Spanish villages, are accustomed to taking a short mid-day nap which they call a siesta. When Dix, as the peppy young American, ride into the village it is during such a rest period and he finds every human being in the market place and the tavern asleep at what- ever they had been engaged at when the siesta bell tolled. The many hu- morous incidents which develop from the star's activities in the peaceful vil- lage make this one of the best com- edies of the year. Tourists Bombard Motor Club for Travel Advice Predictions as to the probable in- crease in touring during 1925 as com- pared with 1924 made at the beginning of the year placed the increase at 25 per cent. A recent analysis of the calls received by the touring bureau of the Chicago Motor club for the first four months of the year shows that the estimate was far too low, the touring bureau reports an increase of 104.9 per cent for this period. This is the most pronounced increase in touring ever recorded by the club in any year since 1906. The requests for long distance tours have had a tremendous increase, and this was noticeable even during the winter months of January and Febru- ary. Grant Hellar of Tacoma, Wash., died Friday, May 22, after a brief illness, at the home of her daugh- ter, Mrs. Justus Chancellor, Jr., whom she had been visiting for the past few months. Mrs. Hellar is survived by her hus- band, W. G. Hellar, of Tacoma, a son, W. G. Hellar, Jr., Mrs. Chancellor and five grandchildren. The family was with her at the end. Mr. Hellar, who has been with his daughter during Mrs. Hellar's illness, returned to Tacoma, Sunday and W. G. Hellar, Jr. left at the same time to resume his studies at Yale.
