I WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, JUNE 13 1925 CHURCH SCHOOL CLOSES SEASON Congregationalists Witness Promotion Services The Promotion Day exercises of the Winnetka Congregational church school will be held tomorrow morning. At 9:30 o'clock the kindergarten will have its service in the assembly room: and at the same hour in the Rudolph Matz hall, the primary department, under the leadership of Mrs. Carrie B. Prouty, will have special exercises. These in- clude the presentation of Bibles to those who have done satisfactory work during the year. This depart- ment includes the first four grades of the school. The main school will meet at 11 o'clock in the church. Stars for awards of honor, choir pins, and diplomas to the graduates of the school will be presented and addresses will be made by some of the graduates. Prominent in the program will be Amy Macintyre, Jean Markley, George Massey and David Rumsey. The Haydn song, "The Heavens Are Telling", which was en- joved two weeks ago, will be repeated by the church choir. The offering for the day will be for the Congregational Education society, for its work in na- tional church school advancement. This will be the last session of the school until September 20. Seven widely scattered hits were the lot of the Glenview boys against Luchessi's strong right arm and they were lucky to run up their six runs with the assistance of some errors. Altogether, Winnetka played well a-field and showed prowess at the bat. W. Paletti loomed with the stick work, annexing a triple, two doubles and a walk in five trips to the plate. Kreger, M. Knox and R. Smith also contributed richly to Winnetka's success at the plate. Another game is scheduled for the Playfield diamond this Sunday after- noon. Game time is 3 o'clock. Girl Plans Drop from Airplane at 3,000 Feet North shore folk who crave a thrill or two will please take note of Miss Helen Huntner, who, Sunday afternoon, June 14, will leap from an airplane soaring at the dizzy height of 3,000 feet, hoping for a soft landing on the broad fields at Willow and Hibbard roads. Roy Ahern, Chicago aviator, will pilot the machine from which the dar- ing Miss will make her spectacular de- scent. Flight stunts will augment the pro- gram.
