It is hoped that there will be a large field for the opening event in the first tourney of its kind this season. Howard, who played as partners, and Mrs. Mairn and Mrs. Fred Coambs, who were paired. The honors in the Class D, nine hole event, went to Mrs. Everett Harris and Mrs. Warner Robinson, Who we were partners. start Mrs. Harrison Breaks Record at North Shore N Tuesday the record score for 18 holes was set for women golfers by Mrs. H. H. Harrison of Evanston who played the course at North Shore with a 97. Mrs. Harrison and Mrs. A. D. Collins were in the finals for the Nicholas Ellis trophy event. The first Guest day of this season took place this week with Mrs. Case carrying off one of the honors for the visitor players, and Mrs. C. N. Jonas of Milwaukee, winner of the blind bogey event. Mrs. H. H. Harrison was winner of the low gross match for members, and Mrs. I. W. Moore held the low net score for members. Next Tuesday, the contest will be for match play against par and for low gross over 18 holes. Skokie Club Ready for Open Day Next Monday EXT Monday will be open day for the Woman's Western Golf association. Members of local clubs and of those of the middle west will gather at Skokie Golf club to try out their skill. Riverside was the scene of the annual medal play tourna- ment for the Woman's Western on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, of this week when Skokie was rep- resented by Mrs. Edgar Stevens of Kenilworth and Mrs. Glencoe.
