SR BEB cs Sev 0B, WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, JULY 25, 1925 7 Postpone Meeting for Revival of Playfield Although sponsors for a new Play- field golf association found it impossible Thursday night to get a full represen- tation of the former association's mem- bership together in an effort to re- vive the organization, seven interested members, including some of the officers met at Community House and are now planning a further effort to hold a meeting when vacationists return and a large representation can be had. The leaders in the movement believe that there is still a prosperous future ahead for the organization, once the members can be gotten together to talk things over and make plans. They have found it difficult to get prospec- tive members together, but with the nucleus of a real leadership already existing, it is thought that action is merely a matter of time. The golfers have been busy golfing at other links, but still have a desire to see a first class community course built. Announcement will be made shortly as to date of the next meeting and a special effort will be made to interest members of the association. The theft was reported Thursday morning by Miss Reed and she stated it as her theory that it was an "inside job." The janitor is known to have bought a bicycle the day before the theft oc- curred, leading the proprietor to be- lieve that he had obtained the money from the shop.
