One was in honor of the new teachers who have come to the schools this year, and the other was given for the entire faculty. ---- Mr. and Mrs. Francis Butler expect to be in their own home on Private road the end of this week. Mrs. Butler and the children have been passing the sum- mer months at Coburg, Canada, and while in Winnetka, Mr. Butler has been with his mother, Mrs. Herman B. But- ler. ---- Mr. and Mrs. George B. Everitt and their son, George, Jr. of 1035 Dins- more road, are at home again after their trip to Kurope. Miss Mary Louise Everitt has also returned from her visit in Washington. --_--O0-- * Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Ethel Mason of New York City to Niels Christian Nielson, which took place Saturday, September 12, in New York. Mrs. Nielson is a sister of Mrs. Roswell Mason of Winnetka. ---- The Pine Street circle will have the first meeting of the year at the home of Mrs. Mark Maistrovick, 1088 Pine street, Tuesday, September 22, at 2:30 o'clock. A very interesting program has been arranged. --Q-- Mr. and Mrs. John Arthur Fried- lund of 1235 Scott avenue, are receiv- ing the congratulations of their friends upon the birth of their daughter, Sep- tember 2, at the Augustana hospital. --Q-- Mrs. Joseph F. Horn, {formerly Miriam Burns, is departing Wednes- day to enter the national golf cham- pionship tournament to be held in St. Louis week after next. --Q-- Mrs. George R. Cooke of 395 Elder lane will entertain as her guests at din- ner Sunday, Ed Wynn of Great Neck, L. I, who is now playing at the Illinois Theatre, and Mrs. J. Leopold and Mrs. I.. Fees of Atlantic City. ---- Mrs. Stanley Clague of Evanston, formerly of Winnetka is entertaing at luncheon and bridge at the Skokie club for Miss Marion Lasier, Tuesday, Sep- tember 15. --O-- . Endicott Bradstreet are entertaining at a buffet supper and bridge for Miss Lasier and Mr. Morrison, Wednesday evening, September 23. ---- Capt. and Mrs. Harold W. Snell and their family of 1205 Scott avenue left Ps week to make their home in Ottawa, Annoyer of Women Gets $100 Fine, Bum's Rush Walter Morano, 1019 Emerson street, Evanston was fined $100 and costs last Wednesday by Police Magistrate Ralph E. Sinsheimer on a charge of annoying women. Morano, who is a Mexican, was arrested Tuesday by Motorcycle Policeman John Hanselman after com- plaints had been received at the police station from several women. Morano gave his occupation as chauffeur. He was warned to stay out of the village in the future. PLAY :CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Semi-finals in the club championship are being played off at the North Shore Golf club this week. Partici- pants in the competition are Fred Bockman, Ralph C. Boozer, H. H. Har- rison and Frank Snow. GIVES LUNCHEON Mrs. Oscar Schmidt of Wilmette entertained at luncheon Friday of last week in honor of Miss Myra Storts, who is the guest of her sister, Mrs. George M.
