Within another month, persistently and potently as the red and yellow and orange will be flaunting their banners throughout the country side, painting the foliage in vivid hues, the city will be calling back vacationists to town to the din of the policeman's whistle, the sound of honking horns and the myriads of other busy noices. Woman's club officers have been busily engaged in gathering material for their various year books, now in the hands of the printer, with the promise of readiness for delivery about the middle of September, and have all dashed away to the east, west or north for a belated season's rest. [ The Woman's clubs are all looking forward to a most successful year, and with the excellent co-operation of the . directors and members, as shown in previous years, assured. Attractive Programs Attractive programs, with interest ing speakers, and delightful music have been worked out to the best possible adyantage by the program chairmen, and are sure to be thor- cughly enjoyed by the' club members. No longer is the Springtime, and the month of June to hold full sway in the matter of weddings, for the early months of this fall are filled with the nuptial days of our north shore young peonle. Miss Verna Tucker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willnam A. Tucker of Wilmette, will become the bride of Mr. Ren Lauren Blodgett of Madison, Wis., on Labor Day. Another wedding of interest will be that of Miss Dorothy Taylor, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Taylor, Jr., of Kenilworth, who will become the bride of Walter G. Gerould of Ev- anston on the evening of September 10. Ridgway-Clark Nuptials Miss Harriette Ridgway, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Ridgway, an- other Kenilworth bride-to-be, will be wedded to Mr. Samuel Clark of Wilmette some time in the fall.
