26 WINNETKA TALK October 10, 1925 Publish Annals of 1925 Advancement in Realty Ethics Publication of the nine-volume an- nals of the National Association of Real Estate boards for 1925 has been completed. Mailing to members who have already paid the publication fee begins this week. The annals are a compilation of the most important contributions of the year to real estate thought and prac- tice. They consist of a volume on general real estate topics such as city growth tendencies, real estate pro- fessional standards, appraisal methods, and the future outlook for real estate, and a special volume covering the work of each of the large divisions of real estate practice, 'together with a volume on the organization and work of real estate boards. Topics covered by the special volumes are Real Estate Fi- nance, Industrial Property, Property Management, Home Building and Sub- dividing, Real Estate Brokerage, Sell- ing Farm Lands, Co-operative Apart- ment Organization, Financing and Management. The annals contain not only a com- plete stenographic account of the dis- cussions at the annual convention of the association held at Detroit, in June of this year, but also a large number of special reports on real es- tate problems and allied topics pre- pared by men chosen by the executive committees of the Association's seven Divisions for their known achieve- ments and command of the subjects. Demand for Electric Ranges Doubles 1924 The electric range continues to de- monstrate that it has passed beyond the position of a "comer" and has arrived. Expressed in terms of horse power, as is now the custom, the Pub- lic Service company has secured new contracts for ranges thus far this year which double the figures for the same period of 1924. The score is nearly three times greater than that made in the same time in 1923. Numerous demonstrations have been made of the range with the effect of widening interest in it. Wide variety in the use of it continues to be shown in the new contracts for electric power. The energy, as shown by the late con- tracts, is employed among other pur- poses in structural steel working, ice making, shoe making, drilling, bridge building, quarrying for operating com- pressors, for garage requirements, for machine and repair shops, for cleaning, for laundry uses, for pumping. GOES TO OREGON Garrett F. Johnston, of R. M. John- son and company, real estate dealers, left this week with his wife on a busi- ness trip to Portland. Ore.
