F. Provol, supervisor, is in the field for the purpose of re- cruiting a class in honor of Dr. Wil- liam E. Buehler, the newly elected dictator of Greater Chicago lodge. Dr. Buehler is well known in the north shore district and candidates for this class are being recruited all over Cook county. The Loyal Order of Moose maintain and operate Mooseheart, located 37 miles west of Chicago, where there are over 1400 orphan boys and girls who are being given a high school edu- cation and trade. Moosehart is the home for the widows of 'the Moose. The order also maintains Moose- haven, 17 miles west of Jacksonville, a home for the aged members and their widows on the cottage plan. Moose- haven is called a "city of opportunity" for the old folks for there they are given a chance in life and placed on a salary, making them independent. There is no charity aspect about the institution. The Loyal Order of Moose maintain an extension service plan, whereby the disabled member is pen- sioned, his family cared for and his children educated.
