: ER 16 WINNETKA TALK November 7, 1925 Repeal Bond Ordinance for Filtration Plant Addition Because no definite agreement with officials of the Village of Glencoe, in regard to the new water contract has been reached, the Winnetka Village council repealed the ordinance pro- viding for a bond issue for the con- struction of the filtration plant addi- tion. This ordianance provided for a referendum election December 1, on the issuance of $150,000 in filtration bonds. It was explained that in the event that Glencoe does not renew its water contract, which runs out in 1927 the present capacity of the water plant will be adequate to serve Win- netka for several years, and that until it is known definitely that Glencoe will renew its contract it is impossible to provide the additional facilities which would not be needed by Winnetka alone.
