a November 7, 1925 WINNETKA TALK l. ------------ 1] Use Health Award to Promote Health Program at School New Trier High school will utilize its share of the $1,000 award, given by the American Child Health associ- ation to the three high schools in the United States having the best health programs, in still further health work, it was announced by Miss Marion Sim- monson this week. Competition be- tween adviser rooms for the purpose of correcting posture will be estab- lished. There will be prizes for the girls and the boys, and these prizes will be objects of art which may be hung in the halls of the building. These awards will go to the adviser rooms whose members make the most actual health gains. Some necessary equipment may be bought with the prize money to facil- itate the health work such as a "schemategraph" for actual measure- ment of posture improvement. There might also be lectures on subjects of health given in student assemblies. Mrs. Simonson now teaches classes in home nursing, as well as acting as the school's health supervisor. One thing that she has done that is of especial note is the establishing of the Service club which has a membership of about 30 girls. These girls help with the clerical work of the health office and give aid in an emergency. They also receive thorough training in first aid. O. F. Lohsand Affiliates With Stults Realty Firm O. F.
