36 WINNETKA TALK December 19, 1925 Dr. Harry F. Ward Is Next Speaker at Forum Meeting Dr. Harry F. Ward of New York, recently returned from a year's study of conditions in Asia and Russia, will speak on "The Awakening in China" at the Chicago Forum in the Apollo theatre, Sunday afternoon, December 20, at 3 o'clock. Dr. Ward, an alumnus of Northwest- ern university and a former minister in Oak Park, is a professor at Union Theological Seminary, head of the Methodist Federation for Social Serv- ice, and one of the country's foremost leaders in progressive movements for social justice, as for example the Amer- ican Civil Liberties Union. Among other phases of the situation in China, he will discuss frankly the relations between the foreigners and the natives in China and the possible future relations of China to the rest of the world with particular reference to Russia and Japan. This meeting will undoubtedly develop an unusually spirited question period, which is a regular feature of the Forum meetings Mr. and Mrs. Donald Brock, for- merly of Kenilworth, now of Evanston, announce the birth of a daughter at the Evanston hospital, Tuesday, De- cember 15. Mrs. Brock was Margaret Farwell of Kenilworth. Eitels Arrange Special Service for the Shopper To accommodate suburban shoppers, the Chicago & North Western railway has arranged for special service in the main dining room of its Chicago Terminal station. This will obviate a race across the "loop" by the home- ward bound shopper who fears to miss her train. Instead, she may lunch-- or "tea"--in comfort in the beautifully appointed dining room on the train floor of the station, while she waits for the 3:55 or the 4:40 to carry her home. Eitel, Inc., operating the North West- ern Terminal restaurants have pre- pared special shoppers' menus for this service. They also are making elabor- ate displays of their bakery wares-- especially Christmas dainties--ready to be taken home by the shopper, either for dessert or as the finishing touch for the Christmas feasting, it is ex- plained. Patrons of this service may order packages delivered to them "in care of Eitel, Inc., Main Dining room, North Western station." Mr. and Mrs. David T. Harris of St. Louis are to be the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Davies Lazear of 892 Oak street over Christmas and the following week-end. POR 50) YEARS THE STANDARD OF QUALI .
